I don't really want her to have the rabies shot that same day either but they explained that according to NY law, a dog must have a rabies shot every year. If you bring your dog to the vet and it doesn't have a rabies shot, they can actually refuse to see your dog unless you allow them to give it a rabies shot. I was planning on discussing this with the vet anyway on Friday (I just didn't post about it). I will even PAY for the damn rabies shot in advance if they will allow me to bring her back in to actually receive it in 1 or 2 weeks (after she is fully recovered). I'll let you guys know how it works out. |
