Ok, I found out anyway that its very rare that vets use barbituates, but I asked anyway. I also asked what kind of anethsia they used. You want Isoflurane. I asked all this chit before I found out my vet used to raise yorkies, lol. Her spay went great, and she's now home, in her crate resting nicely.

I know you can really worry yourself sick asking too many questions! I know I did anyway. Almost talked myself out of it for fear of loosing my dog. I'd ask, come back to the boards here, to see what was ok, and what wasn't. I made myself a basket case long before I even made an appointment!

I got really lucky today. I called before Venus ate or drank anything. Vet tech said she could do it today, or wait till Feb She said if I came now, she could do it today. I (or they) did't give me time to back out of it, or scare me to death. I know if I waited till Feb, I would be obsessing about it for another 2 months!

And Yorkie 3, thanks for that suggestion. Beats sleeping on the floor (almost 50 here), or dragging my mattress off the bed to the floor!
