I know how you feel, but as your dog gets older, he will be more at risk of being hit by a car, simply because he will want to chase the female scent. Also, there is a much larger risk of cancer in unneutered males. Then there is also the marking problem. If you choose the right vet, one who’s familiar with small dogs, I think neutering is safest overall for a long and healthy life. I have 2 more months to worry about it!
