Have your mom find out what the tennant laws are in your state. In New York, even if you are in a no pet building, if you have your pet for a certain amount of time and no one notices, you can keep it no matter what the landlord says. A landlord can't just evict someone for no reason. You have a lease, correct? a little noise or a party every now and then are not grounds for an eviction. My advice is to find out your rights and get all your ducks in a row and DO NOT discuss this with anyone in your building. The less you say, the saner you seem. Let your neighbor make a stink and everyone will see how unreasonable she is being.
