Got LillyBelle spayed in October. She weighed 4lbs. Like you, I was REALLY nervous about it. She did terrific. I'll tell you how it went for us.
I took her early about 7am, my vet did the liver studies to make sure she could do okay w/anesthesia, the vet called me at home, at about 9:30 and told me that she did great in surgery, was waking up. I picked her up at 3pm, along with 4 syringes of pain medication not shots, but liquid to be given by mouth.(dont know if that is routine-but I did ask for it prior to surgery) .
i brought her carrier and gently placed her in for the ride home, her doctor gave me thorough instructions before leaving. Once home
she was sleepy, I had purchased some "premie" little pink onsies that snap at the bottom and put her in one to keep her from licking her surgery site, and layed her down to sleep. She looked like a tiny pink doll. She did get up later and drank a little water, I give her some can nutra natural food and took her out, she WET!, then gave her medication and back to sleep she went. The next day she was still a little sleepy but happy-I gave her a syringe of pain medication daily x4. I was given written instructions for her care when i picked her up. Her stitches were dissolvable, so we never had to go back to the doctor...No bath for 7-10 days. She did super. Not one problem at all. I took vaction that week so I was right with her. Really she was back to herself in about 4-5days.
