I think the best "short" cut is a medium length on the head and legs, and shaving the body. Or, I've heard people say....leave all the "gold", and cut all the "black".
I did this to Kiki when she was younger, and I LOVED it. I'm growing her hair out right now just to see what it will look like, but I suspect I'll end up going back to this.
Here are pics, but it's hard to really get the idea, because the hair on her muzzle was so short back then! I didn't cut it that way....it just took it a long time to grow in!
But maybe you can see the difference between her body and legs.
