people are going to pay for what they want. 76% of americans prefer mutts over purebreds (per msn.com ). i want a morkie and once i find the perfect one, i will pay. sure there are mutts and purebreds in shelters but that is not what i am looking for. in my area, most shelter dogs are labs, lab/pitt mix, it seems like lab with something. also, they have been abused or not cared for and w a small child, i dont want to bring in a shelter dog to my home. i leave that to my parents and my brother who consistently get sheltered dogs. i dont want a large dog. i want a small dog. if ever there is a sheltered dog in my area that has a good termperament and is small, i will save it
