Gingers 12 lbs too, but has a VERY THIN coat...
The first time I tried to take her out in the snow she took one look and ran into the living room
. So, I picked her up and carried her outside (to the lovely area I had shoveled). She turned and ran to the porch and stood their shivering. So, I returned her to the yard and reminded her (somewhat firmly) to go potty (I always say this and she knows what it means) Well she peed and ran back to the porch. Once inside I spent ten minutes washing off the snowballs that had formed all over her underside.
The next time I took her outside I put her in her snowsuit first (I hadn't initially because I didn't think we'd been out that long, and the few times I tried it on her in the house she stood there like she couldn't move)
No kidding, I took her out in that warm snuggly snowsuit and she took off running and jumping through the snow...even the deep snow. When I took her in, I removed the snowsuit, tossed it in the dryer...no snowballs on Ginger!!!
We love our snow suit!
