My mother in law went through this several years ago. She was devastated! She was not ready for her next yorkie until a year later. Ofcourse everyone is different. Let her know that whenever she is ready for another companion, you will help find the perfect one. My mother in law lives next door to a yorkie breeder (tiny ones) in Big Spring if you have a hard time finding one in Abilene (if I don't have any).
