Sorry to hear about your little one, I would seek a 2nd opinion, maybe call a few vets and ask questions. Are they charging you to keep him there, or was that included in the initial charge? My Kodak dislocated his hip when he was a yr. old. He refused to use the puppy stairs and jumped off the bed which is not that high. They think they are big dogs and will try anything.
