Default 1 crate for two yorkies?

I'm really sorry if this has been answered before, but I tried searching the forums and couldn't find much about it. Right now, I have a 1 year and 3 month old female yorkie and she is the love of my life. I was really interested in finding another yorkie for her because it just seems like having two would be double the fun and it would give her a playmate. I already purchased a female puppy from the same mother as my first, but she won't be born until early February and won't be with me until early to mid April. I just wanted to get a head start on whether I should buy a separate crate for the puppy or if I should crate them together. The crate Maizee currently occupies is large enough for the both of them, but I didn't know if separate crates would be better. By that time, Maizee will be about 1 year and 8 months old. I don't know if age plays a factor. I was just throwing it out there. What does everyone else do?
