I flew in October, crosscountry to get Annie.
The cost depends on the airline. Usually 50 -100 dollars. I paid $90 on Continental. However when we flew to Walt Disney World with Phoebe it was only $50 on AA. You can check the websites as it is listed on there. Also only 2 pets per cabin is the rule so you will have to make sure there is room BEFORE you buy your ticket.
Some of the attendents will allow you to hold your pet. But please understand if they tell you to put them away it is against FAA rules, not theirs.
They are counted as one of your carry on items & go underneath the seat.
