I haven't done it yet, but I'm getting ready to and already have reservations and purchased the tickets to do it. I'm going on December 20th to pick up a Biewer puppy. We've arranged our flight through Delta. $50 per animal. 2 animals per flight, health cert within 10 days of flight, carrier must fit under seat, (was told the animal is supposed to be in the carrier the whole trip, but we will see about that! hehehe). Once you find the flight that you'd like to book, I'd suggest you call the 1-800 number and ask to make sure there aren't already 2 animals booked for in-cabin travel, so you won't have to put them underneath. Once you find out that there is a "seat" for them, book your flight, then call the 1-800 number back and tell them your flight information and that you'll be carrying your dog on board with you. With Delta, you pay the animal fees at the counter before boarding, that way they can verify the paperwork for the animal to make sure it's good to go.
