 Surgery for same injury
Our little girl had surgery for the same thing on Tuesday. She has 3 pins through her leg and a bar on the outside to stabilize it. We brought her home yesterday. She is on antibiotic and pain killer twice a day, not once a week. She is also on a nonsteroidal antiinflamatory drug once a day. Her foot is about 3 times it's normal size and I had to put a baby sock over it to keep her from licking it until it is raw. Dr. said it is normal and swelling will go down in a few days. He told us to try to keep her quiet for at least the 1st week. So far she seems to be doing all right. We see the vet again on Monday. Good luck to you and your little guy.
