I have found a great deal on buddy belts and I want to get one for my little guy, but I can't decide which size to get!

I don't have my pup yet so I can't measure him, but the breeder says he's currently 2.5 lbs and he'll grow to an adult weight of 4.75 to 5.25 lbs.

A size 2 is for a 2-4 lb dog, 10-12 inch girth
A size 3 is for a 4-8 lb dog, 12-14 inch girth

Based on that, he's currently a size 2, but will be a size 3 full grown. I did some searching on threads and I saw that some users commented that the leather is a little too heavy if you buy it too big, so I'd rather buy the size 2 now so I can start walking him right away.

I guess what I'm asking is...do you think the size 2 would be really too small for him when he's full grown? If any of you have a similar size dog, what size do you use?
