If I want a room cleared of Yorkies in less than one second, all I have to do is pick up the bottle! Now, I have a hold of one first before I get the bottle. These little Yorkies are so smart. I use my sink 100 times a day, but they all know when I am going to give them a bath too!
Anyway, I usually get help, but doing it myself, I have found that if I kneel on my knees, sitting my bum on my feet with my legs spread apart and place their butts next to me I have more control (they just back up more into my body) then I can give one squirt on each side. I also use a folded dry washcloth to cover their eyes like a blindfold in case a spray is misdirected. You really just have to pull the lips up and make contact with the teeth. Then they go crazy (just like after a bath) rubbing their face all over, but try it on yourself the mint is not that strong. I actually, bought the gel too and they say you can mix it with peanut butter, but haven't tried it since I feel the spray is best undiluted. It does seem to be getting easier as time goes by. |
