I understand that people like to feel that they are in charge of their pets future and decide their own options but look at it from a breeder's position as well. Not every dog that I produce will be show quality, you can breed for that but it just doesn't happen. When I sell a good pet quality pup how am I to protect the reputation of my kennel if it is bred to a poor quality yorkie and poor quality pups are produced? Good or bad, my name is still on the pedigree. If I'm going to put years of my life and untold amounts of money into a line of dogs how do I protect that line and the reputation of my kennel?
