Welcome to YT! Ms Hermionie Lee is a beauty and I totally understand your concern, especially since this situation wasn't planned. I haven't experienced nor even witnessed the birthing process, so I have no advice in that area. I would agree with the no collar suggestion. Because of the delicate trachea of the Yorkie, we have never, ever put anything on Toto's neck. We, instead, always use a harness ... we find that the "step in" harness is easier to use. Good luck and do keep us posted on her progress! We have very knowledgeable breeders here that are always anxious to help and we all love, love babies too, regardless of their "heritage"!
