Welcome to YT! Ms Hermionie Lee is a beauty and I totally understand your concern, especially since this situation wasn't planned. I haven't experienced nor even witnessed the birthing process, so I have no advice in that area. I would agree with the no collar suggestion. Because of the delicate trachea of the Yorkie, we have never, ever put anything on Toto's neck. We, instead, always use a harness ... we find that the "step in" harness is easier to use.
