Did you find anything out about your yorkie? Mine has been doing it for the last couple of hours, and it is just as you described, licking and gasps. It takes him forever to get comfortable and when he finally does, he can doze off....But when he is awake he goes right back to the constant licking and gasping. I read a little bit on what it could be, and I read that if someone on your family has strep throat that you could actually give it to yor dog, and they could have "strep throat" as well. I plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow, but was hoping maybe you had a little insight. Hope your little guy is feeling better.
