Emma lost a lot of teeth around that age too. My vet said they usually swallow them and that we wouldn't even notice because we wouldn't find them, and this seemed completely ok with her.
Well, we DID find them sometimes, in the carpet, in her water bowl, stuck in toys. I kept some...the little front ones that come out first are so tiny and cute, and the back big molars are somewhat nasty looking! Sometimes they come out bloody, and sometimes we saw them crooked in her mouth-totally freaky. But, I don't think it hurts them, I think it's a relief to get the loose ones out because I think the loose ones bug them. Emma used to rub her face on the ground when she had loose teeth, and sometimes they'd come out. I'd just give lots of hard chewy things to him until they all come out.
Oh, and, they have many more teeth than you think they do, so he'll probably lose them for quite awhile longer. The ones not lost on their own will come out in a spay/neuter. |
