My little Bichon was always a somewhat fearful (shy) standoffish little dog - but when I got my new little Yorkie (whom he loved and played with all the time) --- he also became much more affectionate with us people --- and wants to be by us and wants to be petted a lot more. You have got a point! They play so well together so I guess there really isn't a need to worry. I have to admit.. I do love the fact that he is so attached to me.
