I'm happy that you're going to keep them together. I agree, in time she'll just move on and probably get her own dog. It happens with children all the time, where the non custodial parent decides they are too busy to be bothered. and since we are talking about dogs here and not children, I'm sure the visits will get fewer and farther between.
I hope that you are prepared to take care of their Vet bills and Food, cause I don't see her paying for it once she is gone. I wouldn't even feel right taking the money.
