Hey Debbie! Just wanted to say that I know exactly how you feel. My mom is still with us but I lost my dad almost 22 years ago (at the young age of 49). Yesterday - Thanksgiving - would have been his 71st birthday. Although time has eased our grief of his loss and absence from our family, we still shared a special moment for him yesterday and wished him a happy birthday. You will never get over missing them, and you will have days where the grief is just overwhelming at times, but please know that as the days, weeks, months, and years pass, your grief will ease. Find comfort in the memories you have of them and the good times shared. They may not be here where you can see them but they are ALWAYS with you
