She is old enough where she only pees a few times a day, and poops only about twice. She has never once gone on a pad, even if we put her there and wait like 10 minutes.

Usually, we end up holding her on the pad about 10 minutes, play 2 minutes, go back to the pad for about 10 minutes, etc..but she never goes on the pad, never really sniffs at it like she might think about going, and always ends up running off to play (after we wait 10 minutes and let her go) and then peeing after a couple of laps of "chase" with Baloo. It is so frustrating because we haven't even had the chance to reward her for going on the pad, which is the only way we know how to train her. The frustrating part today was she went pee, we caught her, moved her to the pad, she stood around and waited to leave, and then she went like a minute later after we figured she didn't have to go anymore.

Will she not pee on the same pad as him? Anyone have any suggestions?
I find that when I get a new puppy, no matter what the age it is, needs a week or so for adjusting to a new home. I only had one in the last 25 years that was 1.6 years when I bought him, had been caged all his life and adjusted really well to his new home, like in 24 hrs. She might need less freedom in the beginning or a smaller area. It's not unusal for them to be able to hold it in for long periods at this age. The only Yorkie I had housebroken at 5 months was the one I had bought 6 yrs. ago, recently passed away. She was one of a kind in temperment and intelligence, out of all the Yorkies I've had. Mine eventually pee on all pads but like to poop on a different one. I have 3 dogs only one is a Yorkie. I have him 2 months and is now 9 months old and he has issues. His breeder lied about everything. He will be my last dog since I had such an awful breeder experience. I lost trust in all breeders after this lying reputable(so called) show breeder.
