White patch of hair on the chest is a sign of good quanity of coat - check out Gordan and Bennett (Wildweir) book @ Yorkshire Terriers. Yes, the white will change to the gold/tan color later in months. Usually a much thought after sign in puppies. We have a lot of people that will ask about this on YT.
