I've never done this before and was sort of scared they would put him to sleep. I still have the pictures and they are TRULY SICKENING ... I would post one but it's too graphic - his face and hind legs were RAW.
Due to those Pictures... within 2 days they rescued this poor dog - they said he was dying right in his own back yard didn't know if he would make it ....Then called me again telling me he was responding to treatment -
To impress me even more - Ernie the Investigator called me 2 times to let me know how this baby was and thanked me with a followup letter which blew me away - Ernie is on the show Animal Cops Houston - and I was very impressed with how much he cared.
This dog was suffering - I'm sure any of you would have done the same thing...but the overall experience really made me feel good - and I heard he was adopted to a family who will love him.
We can make a difference if we try !
I can honestly say the the image of me hanging on my fence ...aiming my camera in my neighbors yard with my zoom lens.... made me feel like the neighborhood perv....but I am SO GLAD I did it and would do it again no question. |
What an amazing story you just shared with us Villette... You are so brave for taking action... I am glad to see that you care so much about animals.. I love the Show Animal Cops and watch it whenever its on, it just makes me sick that peole treat animals this way.. You are truely that dogs guardian angel and you deserve a gold star!! Chanel should also get a gold star for notifying her mommy as to the situation!!
