I'm sorry .... but, oh, the "flashbacks"!! You have already received some awfully good suggestions. My son about drove me bonkers when he was a teenager, but that's another story! The really nice thing was to hear him tell me recently, "Mom, I now know what paying for your raising means"!!!
Being the father of a 17 year old girl, he's getting
lots of grey hairs! When his wife calls me to discuss Kayla's "infractions" ... my solution is always, "if I were you, I would just throw her on a plane & send her to Nonnie & Papa ....
that will straighten her out!!!" Sadly, she always says,
"Yeah, sure!"
