HAs anyone heard of dosing the medication like this? I found this on another website.....Please tell me what you think before I try this

Okay first of all forgive me if this is already posted OR I am in the wrong forum. In case no one knows that all frontline is sold in tubes and is the same formula. They simple have a larger dose for larger dogs and so on. BUT they sell the frontline for large dogs for the same price at my vet as they do for small dogs. Well I have 3 cats and 3 dogs. From my vet this would be $54.00 a month. Well I now buy the frontline for the largest dog. This gives you 4.02ml of solution. I then went to my local farmers co op and bought a needle and syringe. I measure out the correct amount for each animal and apply it by dripping it on there neck. (making sure not to poke them with the needle) all you have to do is make sure you have the correct dosing:
89-132LB = 4.02ml of solution
45-88LB = 2.68ml of solution
23-44LBS= 1.34ml of solution
UP TO 22LB = .67ml of solution
Cats = .5 ml of solution
( i even asked my vet to make sure this was not dangerous and he said it was fine, even thought the ingrediants are not exactly the same, actually the cat solution is stronger per every ml so cat solution should not be used on dogs since it is stronger. BUT dog solution can be used on cats since it is weaker. I use the same dosing since it is almost the same ingrediants and have been doing it this way for 3 months and it works perfectly!)
Anyway I know frontline all 6 animals for $8.00 a month!!!! And you can save even more money if you have small toy dogs like chihuahua or yorkies. The .67 is good up to 22 pounds which is much heavier than a chihuahua. I only use .3 on my chihuahua and it I have no fleas at all. So one dose of and xlarge dog can do many many animals. People are selling this idea on ebay and making a killing. I guess I should of tried to make some money but instead I posted here for free, I must be a fool |
