He did great at the vet!!!!! But it did bleed, and he did let out a yelp. I was shocked when the vet said the rest didn't really need clipping! I suppose its cause he walks on my 12x26 patio a lot.
She clipped a couple more after that, and one did bleed.
I asked what to put on it if it started bleeding again, and she said Corn Starch, or red pepper (
). The visit cost less than the clippers I bought! They only charged $10.50 for the vist.
We went to Petsmart afterwards. I got clippers and Styptic powder (sorry no red pepper on my babies feet!). Suff looks like the same color stuff she was using! Now that I'm home looking at it, the stypict also comes with the clippers too. I'm sure it cost a lot more than corn starch but my babies deserve the best. And I got this boy some beggin strips, since I couldn't get him interested in a toy. I know he likes them, my sister gives them to her dogs, and when he's down there, he gets one too. He deserved something yummy after going through that.
I was so afraid they were going to ask me to leave the room! I just know I'd die in the waiting area, especially if I heard one yelp out of him. I heald him while they did this, with my face really close and talked to him the whole time. He was a champ through the whole thing.
