Strange you asked about the coloring on the food. My boy will throw food or treats up that has a redish color. But he's 5 years old, not a puppy, and that makes a HUGE difference.

It is dangerous for puppies when they throw up. I'd go with taking him to the vet, like Lunasmamma said. Throwing up that much isn't real normal, in my opinion, especially for a puppy. Puppies can go down SO fast. Many have lost their puppies from not taking them soon enough.
