Awww...what a difficult time you must have had with this decision. Knowing how I feel about my one year old Topher, this must have been
so hard for you. I know everyone here hates to see you have to do something like this...something that would make you
so very sad so that's why we're all throwing suggestions your way....we just want to keep you two together, if possible
I do hope you try the training technique. We've had Topher in obedience classes here for quite a few months now and the change we've seen in him is
phenomenal. Luckily I'm in a small city so the kennel club's classes are very inexpensive, otherwise we wouldn't be able to do it. He's come a long way!
I'd suggest even a makeshift baby gate in front of the door until you are able to train or until he catches on.
I do hope that you're able to try some of the suggestions, if possible. If it turns out that you have to sell him, we do understand. You're such a good mom putting is safety first.
