I know my parents did the same exact thing when they got their yorkie. Secondly, yorkies are very expensive. I would not have been able to get my first yorkie unless my parents were willing to give it to us as a gift. They offered to buy us a yorkie for a Christmas gift. How sad would my husband and I have been if no one sold yorkies around Chritmas time.
I see no problem with selling yorkies near Christmas time, but I do have a problem with them being sold at 6 1/2 weeks old. That is just too young. |
Under 12 weeks of age is too young. Agreed. However you must realize that your particular situation of buying at Christmas is a very rare situation and is not the norm for a puppy at Christmas or any other holiday time for that matter. I would be cautious to make a blanket statement that selling Yorkies near Christmas time is no problem. 99% of the time it is for any puppy or animal.
