I just want to play devil's advocate for a second. I got my first yorkie, Hobbs, during Christmas time last year and I did it on purpose because both my husband and myself were off for 2 weeks for Christmas vacation and we figured this would be the best time to get a yorkie since we were both going to be off work and have a whole 2 weeks to devote to the new addition to our family. I know my parents did the same exact thing when they got their yorkie. Secondly, yorkies are very expensive. I would not have been able to get my first yorkie unless my parents were willing to give it to us as a gift. They offered to buy us a yorkie for a Christmas gift. How sad would my husband and I have been if no one sold yorkies around Chritmas time.
I see no problem with selling yorkies near Christmas time, but I do have a problem with them being sold at 6 1/2 weeks old. That is just too young.
