The fact that he feels fine between bouts is encouraging. But if the medicine doesn't clear it up after a couple of days, I would take him back to the vet. Bettyeanne may be right about the amount of food you are feeding. Feeding him tiny amounts every few hours as you are now, sounds like a good plan until it clears up.
Both our Higgins and Pogo are outdoors a LOT and nibble outdoors stuff now and then. Will occasionally toss the stuff up and we keep a close watch. Overall, they have developed iron stomachs and tolerate most things well.
