Maybe Someone Can Answer This Question Hi Everyone, I Recently Had My 15 Month Old Yorkie Neutered. I Bought Him At 14 Months And He Never Did The Thing With The Throat Where They Are Trying To Gasp For Air. I Know Alot Of Small Breed Dogs Have This , But Before I Had Him Neutered I Had Him For 1 Month And He Never Did The Choking Thing.
Now That I Had Him Done , It Has Been 1 1/2 Weeks Today, He Is Constantly Doing It. He Does Not Even Have To Get Excited, He Will Just Start The Choking.
My Question Is, Does Anyone Think The Vet Damaged His Trachea ? Is This Common After An Operation. Also After The Operation He Was Very Very Hoarse, And He Could Hardly Even Get A Bark Out.
I Have To Sit With Him And Rub His Throat, And Hope He Will Stop.
I Am Very Worried That The Vet Did Damage.
Thanks For Everyones Help, You All Have Been A Great Help To Me With My New Little Yorkie.
