We are getting our little girl tuesday, when she is just over 6 weeks old. The mom stopped nursing at 4 weeks and doesn't want anything to do with the pups, and they have been eating really well and going along great. Our vet told us that 6 weeks is ok, 8 weeks is ok, but 7 weeks is a bad idea because of the whole fear thing. We trust her very much, by the way.

I know a lot of breeders that know their stuff say 12 weeks + to let a yorkie go, but I know a woman that trains puppies and she says that at 12 weeks, that is much too late to send them to their new home. She knows her stuff, so I listen to her, but I'm sure the opinion differs.
