i let mine go at 8 weeks. they were on puppy food since 4 weeks, in good health, and the vet advised me to let them go at 8 weeks so that the new family could start training. also, muffie wanted them gone. she was not nice to them at all. always growling at them when they got near her and snipping at them so i also felt 8 weeks was a good time to let them go. both of my yorkies, i got at 8 weeks with no problems. i think if it is on the smaller size, maybe they should stay longer but mine are standard 7 lbs as an adult.
