You could try cleansing the eye with a warm moist clean cloth several times a day to see if that clears it up. I personally would not wait any longer than a day or two. We had a similar problems with our Tara a few years back. She ended up nearly losing the eye, plus we had to take her to the vet, to be treated,every week for over 8 wks. Our vet did say that eye conditions can take a turn for the worse very quickly so best of luck.
