I don't like religion because I find it's such a personal thing that I hate when people try to sway you towards their thinking about it.

Basically, my belief is be the best person you can be, volunteer, help someone when they need it(especially if they don't ask), treat others how you want them to treat you, don't hurt anyone(emotionally or physically), don't judge someone because they are different than you(race, nationality, gay/straight, prochoice, prolife, religious or not.

A religious symbol doesn't make you a better person...it's your actions. My brother goes to church every week(me, never). He once told me that he considered me one of the purest people he's knows. I took that as a compliment because of the fact that he knows I'm NOT religious.
Your beliefs are pretty close to my way of thinking.

Many people use the bible to point out oyther people fault, completely ignoringdf "judge not, lest ye be judged" "Vengence is mine sayeth the Lord" And "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

I also don't believe that God will change a situation, he can only change you in how you deal with or handle, the situation, but you have to ask for his help.
