Jodi, Peppy is 3.25 lbs. and underwent anesthesia for a tooth extraction. He did fine. My vet ALWAYS does blood work immediately prior to surgery to rule out any liver disorders which can be fatal when mixed with anesthesia. Dr. Amy uses isoflourin which is a safe way to go.
