I took my granddaughter to the Austin Powwow today. We had such a great time! My husband usually goes too, but he was feeling badly today and couldn't go - so just she and I went. She's 10 years old and she really enjoyed herself. She asked lots of great questions about the dancers and their clothing, the singers, and the different dances they did. She and I even danced in the intertribal dance! We looked at ALL the jewelry and art and then we ate Indian tacos.

My husband and I have been going to powwows for many many years now - we both just love the music, ceremony, singing, and dancing.

Does anyone else enjoy going to powwows?
