 Don't get the Engineered Hardwood Floors!!
I made the mistake of replacing all my carpeting upstairs with this flooring and if I don't see an accident shortly after it happens and it is near a seam then the seam absorbs the urine and makes it splinter. The engineered hardwood was a little cheaper than real hardwood floors but way more expensive then the laminate flooring. It looks just like real hardwood so we liked it better than the laminate. It's still easier to clean than carpeting but I was so disappointed that it wasn't more pet friendly. My hardwood floors on my first level are a breeze to keep clean if their is an accident. I wished I would have spent the extra money and put in real hardwoods. We have tile in the bathroom and I prefer the hardwoods for clean ups. Next house I'm doing hardwoods throughout. |
