So, it seems there is no right answer to the collar question.....  I'm also scared to put a collar on them. Kaya is 5 lbs. and Tinka is around 7-8 lbs. I'm also scared of them taking off. My h is not very careful when he opens the door like I am and I'm so scared they may run out. Tinka does have a chip and I'm planning on getting Kaya one, but unless they're taken to a shelter or vet, that won't help much. I can't imagine losing one of them.  The breakaway collars sound like a better idea. I'll have to think about it I guess and decide what to do.
