We also have two precious kitties (5 years old). We had them before we were blessed with our furbabies. The litterbox is on a shelf in the laundry room where the pups can not get to it and the food is kept up high on top of the dryer so the cats can feed and the pups can not get to the kitties food. The cats do drink from the same bowl as the dogs but I think that is ok, I change the water daily and the cats do leave the dog food alone.... I guess I have no problems having both cats and dogs.
