Yorkies actually are the 'no allergy triggering' dog breed. Maybe your dad could take an allergy test. Allergies often come for no reasons. I never was allergic to anything for most of my (55 y.) life. All of a sudden I became allergic to pollen... It can be a psychological thing too according to my doctor...
