Baloo was the same way about pooing and peeing in the same place...he just doesn't like to do it. Eventually my hubby and I put half of the pee pad in a box, the box was on its side and big enough that he could squat in without hitting his head, and the other half of the pee pad went on linoleum. This way he could hide in the box since his big issue was with privacy. Not only does he not like going poop where he pees, but he was extremely shy about pooping in front of people! lol...Now we don't need the box for him to hide in and he uses his pee pad for both.
We also helped fix this problem by setting up his crate and pee pad right next to each other at night. He sleeps in his crate so he hates eliminating in there and will hop out right onto the pad and do his business. We didn't give him the option of pooping anywhere else which I think helped establish that this pad was for both.
Occasionally he will still poop somewhere in a corner and not on the pad though. We're working on that
