Hi everyone! For those of you who don't know, I have two yorkie girls. I have had Trixie since she was about 4 mths and training was a headache but for the most part she is trained. I bought a litter box from petsmart and place pads in it for her to use. 95% of the time she hops right in and does her business and everything is good. Sometimes I think she gets in a hurry and walks out before she is completely done peeing (never poo) and pee ends up out of the box. For this reason I have a plastic mat there to prevent it from going on the carept. I'd really like for this not to happen because I worry over her stepping in the pee on the plastic when I'm not here but since its very seldom I can deal with it. My true problem is with my other girl Pia. I got Pia when she was about 1 yr. old. Most of the time she will pee in the box (accident here and there) but for whatever reason she doesn't like pooping in the box. She does when she feels like it. Usually some is in and some is out. I am going nuts with her and really getting grossed out. Thank goodness its hard and I can pick it up easily. I just don't know what else to do to make her poop in there like she does pee. It's so strange to me that she'll do one and not the other?? When I see her pooping I stop her and take her to the box or if I missed her I take her and the poop to the box. She knows she did wrong but still continues this. Any help would really be appreciated. I have food out 24/7 and I'm thinking a scedule might be better for her?? This way I'd know its coming, LOL. However, she is just 2 lbs. and I worry to death when I'm not here and think food needs left out for both of them. I worry alot of the their sugar getting too low. Maybe I am being way to paranoid but when Pia was fixed I went through hell and almost lost her. She was throwing up and yes I took her to the vet (long story) he ended up neglecting her and by that night she went into shock because of the suagr level being so low. I know it had alot to do with all the throwing up and ugly D. but since then I'm so paranoid and even get up still in the middle of the night to make sure she is ok. She eats like a piggy but the thought of taking the food up makes me nervous. As long as their both eating and drinking I feel good. So I guess I'm also asking how long can these guys go without food? Since they've always had food out I am completely lost? Thanks for any help guys
