Cry House Training

I just brought a five to six month old Yorkshire Terrier. Before, he lived in a house and they had a big back yard, the owner would just let him out. SO he could do his thing.

I am trying to get him peeing at home which is an apartment. This is only the second day of course, there is still a lot of hope for my wonderful Terry.

Day 1. I played with him and taught him how to sit. I went out to the garbage room to let him do his thing. He pood right away! SOO SMART!
No peeing.

I put him in a crate with the cat, since he was barking at the cat, so I decided they should have some alone time. They both slept together.

Day 2. I took him out to the garbage room again after he woke up. but half way to the garbage room, which is only 4 steps away from my apartment, he sat and peed in the hallway. (Maybe he likes it because its got marble floors) I than took him the garbage room. No Poo. However, when we both got back in, I realized there was a pee mark on the floor. SHOCKED!!!!! I think the pee stain was from DAY 1.
After Breakfast, I took him out to the garbage room. I CARRIED HIM! and he pooed. VERY GOOD!

After dinner, I went to the garbage room after 20 minutes and playing some games, he didn't pooed or pee.. I had brought a new pad mat for him and even got him the spray so he could smell it and pee on it. NO LUCK!! Went tot he garbage room every 20 minutes. He doesn't like the pad mat and the smell spray does not seem to work. HE LIKES TO SLEEP ON THE MAT!!

After 2 hours later, I decided to take him out and he pee IN THE HALLWAY! I kind of catch him in action, and I place him on the mat straight AWAY..and I soaked up all the PEE onto the mat and I have place it in the kitchen now.
I am still waiting for him to poo.

My goal is for him to pee in the crate inside the apartment or pee on the news paper or mat.

What would be the best spray since mine isn't working, its a japanese brand.

What other techique are there to train my Yorkie, he is very smart and he follows me around.

I would love him to be prefect and be 100% train. I have time!! I just need the techique.

Please advice. Thank you

Christine
