lol, I love watching them try to bury their food, especially because they often pick the most difficult locations to do it!
I'll tell my dogs "No" if I spot them doing it and usually pick up whatever it is that they're in the process of trying to hide. I don't want them to rub the top of their nose raw.
It sounds like he was just trying to "save it for later", that's all!
