I've searched the entire forum and not sure what to look for. My 2 year old Spikey recently has become afraid of the floors. Reason being is that I am renting an apartment and the owners had the hardwood floors triple coated with lacquer so it's extremely slippery. So, Spikey is afraid to walk around meaning he won't go on the floor to walk over to drink, eat, pee and poop. So, I brought him over and he was nervous and didn't want to do anything. I tried hand feeding but he didn't want none.
I can solve the floor problem by getting a big area rug so he's more comfortable with the floor and walking.
This happened within a 2 days now. He's also pulling and chewing on his own hair. He's got allergies so I know he's itchy. The vet had prescribed him antihistamines as well. Those seems to be working a bit but there's the hairballs everywhere.
He's playful when I play with him. He doesn't seem lethargic or looked pained. I do hear gas-like noises in his stomach which sounds like something is digesting or passing through his system....sounds like queasy farts.
I'll have him checked out with the vet but is this something out of the norm?
